Spring 2021 has arrived and I’m sure like me you are counting down the days till we can meet with friends and loved ones again. It won’t be long till pubs are open – outside and the rule of 6 will be back. Then onwards to May and June when hopefully lockdown will be in the past and we can enjoy the summer.
We at Ansgar Lodge have been holding regular Zoom meetings to keep in touch and to plan our activities after lockdown. Our secretary – John will be sending further invites out, so members of the Lodge please join.
Take care and hope to see you soon.
As our work for the year draws to a close. Our Master Tom can reflect on a busy year. December 2016 – 3rd Degree, February 2017 – 2nd Degree followed by another 3rd Degree in April. We had well attended Lodge of Instruction, ahead of the meetings, which helped get our work near to the perfection we always seek. Well done Tom! And well done to our DC John, for keeping us in line and Universal!
This year is the 300th Anniversary of The United Grand Lodge of England. There is a very good article in Freemasonry Today which explains how preparations are progressing for this year’s celebrations – Click here
Our lodge calendar gives details of some of the events and a more detailed list can be found here
In a few weeks our very own W.Bro Michael M. will receive his promotion at the Provincial AGM Please make every effort to come along and support Michael. Members from Ansgar will be meeting up at lunchtime ahead of the AGM. Please let me know if you are attending and I will let you know where we are meeting up.

2nd Jan 2016.
Happy New Year.
A blustery mild January morning, greeted me as I started my New Year’s resolution of a regular morning walk. My new Fit Bit Charge HR , care of my wife (xmas present), switched on and secured on my right wrist. A brisk walk along the Grand Union, to Cassiobury Park.
About 6,000 steps sets me up for my target of 10,000 for the day..
The great thing about a walk is it clears the mind so you can think clearly about important things. So much to do before 2nd February was my first thought.. So have set the afternoon aside to read the blue book..
I will be sending out an invite you to join me on this walk, one Sunday morning.. Followed by a pint of course at the Nascot Arms
